LA MACTECH (formerly Techmuscle, LLC) works with a wide array of clients with varying Macintosh needs.  Many of our clients operate on dual-platform networks, with Macs integrated and working side-by-side with PC’s -- even sharing files and resources.  We have extensive experience with Mac OS X -- and years of experience with Mac OS 6 through 9 with aworking knowledge of UNIX.

RHI Entertainment (formerly Hallmark Entertainment, Inc.)

      • Migrated 7 G4 Towers from Mac OS 9.x to Mac OS X, and from 10.1 to 10.4 aka Tiger
      • Set up and deployed Apple Xserve with Mac OS X Server and migrated to Tiger Server
      • Deployed G5 Towers and Apple PowerBooks
      • Deployed Tape Backup System (VXA-2 Packet 1x10 Autoloader) with Retrospect Workgroup and BRU Server Software
      • Created managed accounts for end-users
      • Set up Entourage (X and 2004) for use with MS Exchange Server
      • Bind Mac OS clients to Active Directory (Testing Phase)
      • Make purchase recommendations for 3rd party software (such as software from Microsoft, Adobe and Macromedia)
      • Install and troubleshoot all 3rd party software
      • Provide help desk and all Macintosh-oriented support services

Scout Productions, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”

      • Deployed more than 40 new Apple iBooks for production staff and on-air talent
      • Maintain nearly 50 Macs on the Scout network
      • Used Apple Software Restore disk image technology for rapid deployment
      • Created managed accounts for end-users
      • Use Apple Remote Desktop to manage clients/workstations
      • Install and troubleshoot all 3rd party software
      • Provide help desk and all Mac-oriented support services

      • Deploy and maintain 8 Apple computers for production staff

The Wildlife Conservation Society / The Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo

      • Migrate WCS's existing Mac OS 9 clients to Mac OS X Tiger
      • Created managed accounts for end-users
      • Deployed new Apple G5 Towers
      • Install and troubleshoot all 3rd party software
      • Use Apple Remote Desktop to manage clients/workstations
      • Implement user-initiated backups for Mac clients on WCS's Win2K network using SAMBA
      • Provide help desk and all Mac-oriented support services

HX Media, LLC (HX and New York Blade)

      • Deployed more than 25 new Apple eMacs and 5 PowerMac G5 Towers for Editorial and Art Department Staff
      • Migrated user data from Mac OS 9 and below to Tiger
